# Changelog

> Release notes and version history for LayerWise.

**2.0.5**

October 1, 2026

**New Features:**

* Cryptomatte masks: pick objects and materials from a V-Ray, Corona or FStorm Cryptomatte, in a list or straight in the image, and get a masked `#name` group for each, in new documents and when updating renders
* Tools → Masks from Cryptomatte for the open document
* Cryptomatte elements in the default element lists, and a Cryptomatte slot in the built-in templates
* Create new document can save the new PSD or PSB next to the renders
* The AI assistant can build a document from a render folder you name and save it as PSB or PSD
* New default render elements now appear after an update, while your own elements and flags are kept
* The panel moved to **Plugins → Pulze → LayerWise**

**Fixes:**

* Hidden layers (Alpha, MultiMatte, ZDepth…) are now fitted too when updating to renders of another size, so their masks line up
* Placed renders land on the canvas even when the view is zoomed or scrolled
* Two LayerWise panels with the AI assistant on no longer take the bridge from each other

**2.0.2**

September 2026

**LayerWise is here.** The successor of Pulze Post Manager, rebuilt from the ground up as a modern Photoshop plugin.

**New Features:**

* New name, new look, and a panel that adapts from a narrow dock to a full-width layout
* Create new document and Update renders, with a plan you review before anything changes
* Non-destructive fitting of new renders into old footprints: full resolution, linked files, smart filters and styles are kept
* Built-in multichannel EXR splitting, on Windows and macOS
* Template editor with drag and drop, live preview and undo; Duplicate and edit for any template
* A default template per engine
* Cloud templates, shared with Post Manager
* AI assistant bridge for Claude Desktop, Claude Code and other MCP apps
* Update notifications with release notes
* Newer V-Ray, Corona and FStorm render elements (V-Ray coat and sheen passes, Corona caustics and info passes, FStorm environment and LightSelect)
* Sign-in with your Pulze account; works offline afterwards
* Supports Photoshop 2025 (26.0) and newer

**Fixes compared to Post Manager:**

* Mask updates read nametags from the new renders
* *Update existing* and *Create new* mask options do exactly what they say
* Turning off a multimatte channel no longer shifts the other tags
* Ruler units, mask visibility and the clipboard are no longer changed as a side effect
